The body of a newly born baby girl was last Thursday found dumped in the dry lagoon bed near Denu.
The baby’s umbilical cord was cut and the tip clipped with a drying peg.
Some youths, who were playing by the lagoon at about 0900 hours came upon it, on a piece of cloth, and raised the alarm, attracting scores of people.
The body was believed to have been dumped there earlier that morning. Police, assisted by Environmental Health officials have since buried the body.
Mr Augustine Luguyare, Aflao District Police Commander said investigations were going on and appealed to the public to give the police with clues.
