The President of Ghana has met with Andre and Jordan Ayew, convincing the two to make a return to the national team.
The two parties met at Ghana’s seat of government, the Flag Staff House. Andre and Jordan Ayew have thus agreed to return, officially.
Andre Ayew told the President: “We are back to do everything we can and let Ghana get to the World Cup.” The meeting happened on Tuesday afternoon.
President Mahama some days ago asked the Ghana FA if they needed help with speaking to Ayew brothers, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Michael Essien over their various retirements.
The GFA accepted the offer.
Citi Sports also understands that President Mahama asked the Ayews, once they expressed readiness to return, to make an official announcement to the Ghana FA as soon as possible.
As a result, Jordan and Andre will be sending an official communication of their availability to the national team shortly.
