Information reaching Reportghananews.com indicate that a portions of a three storey-building in Kumasi has collapsed after a heavy downpour of rain trapping many people under the rubble. The building is situated at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.

Over 100 residents occupy this particular building, but luckily, majority of the occupants were not in the building when it collapsed. It was reported that 7 people were rescued whiles 5 others sustained various injuries.
