The waiting is over. Joseph King Kong Agbeko has once again won an international world fight. He beat Luiz Melendez from Colombia in a 12 rounds bout at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday to become the new International Boxing Organisation Bantamweight Champion.

The Ghanaian boxer won the bout by a unanimous decision. Laten Oumgar from the Netherlands, Deon Dwarte of South Africa and Ataa Eddie Pappoe of Ghana scored the bouts 117-111, 119-119 and 117-113 respectively.
